The LLL Opening event this previous weekend (18 February 2023) marked the official start of the Listen, Live, and Learn Program for the 2023 year. The keynote address by Prof Eugene Cloete, former Deputy Vice-Chancellor of Innovation, Research and Postgraduate Studies, was a highlight of the event. With his deep knowledge and experience in education, he set the tone for the day's discussions by passionately emphasizing the importance of education in unlocking students' potential and helping them achieve their goals. Prof Cloete's speech covered a variety of topics, from the current state of the education system to the need for continuous learning and skill-building. Following the keynote address, representatives from PPS, the Alumni Office, and the Gradlinc Program shared valuable information on how their organizations are working to support students in their career journeys. PPS highlighted the importance of financial planning and insurance, while the Alumni Office spoke about the wealth of resources and networks available to students even after graduation. Gradlinc offered practical tips and advice on how to succeed in the competitive job market. The event showcased the University's commitment to empowering students and nurturing their success. These programs aim to unlock students' potential and help them achieve their career goals by providing valuable resources and fostering a supportive community.
